I have seen both of them work well at stabilizing but I. The only application I have found useful for Seafoam (Spray) is as an inductiion system cleaner. Although, you may have reduced the octane of the fuel with the Seafoam , and combined with the Eleaning the fuel slightly (due to it requiring more ethanol per volume of air for complete combustion) may have leaned the mix too much. I followed the instructions on the container and seafoam did a great job cleaning a good amount of carbon off the piston head.
